Have you ever said something and as soon as the words left your lips you wished you could just snatch them from the air? Most of us were taught to think before we speak. Or maybe to count to ten – give the emotions some time to dissipate. But – oh snap – too late!
All too frequently, we don’t stop to weigh the weight of our words. Perhaps it’s time to stop casting stones at other people’s souls. The power of life and death is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21a).
